Rumble Remix is over… and what a weekend it was.

But what made the event special had very little to do with the leaderboard.

Over the course of the weekend, ATG had the opportunity to showcase itself to the wider fitness community — not just as a place to train, but as a community built around growth, support, challenge, and connection.

We saw male and female pairs from all corners of our community step onto the competition floor. Some arrived ready to fight for podium positions, while others simply took the leap to do something they never thought they’d do — stepping outside their comfort zones and challenging themselves in an entirely new environment.

And that’s what made the weekend so special.

Because Rumble was never really about proving who was the fittest. It was about proving to yourself that you’re capable of more than you thought.

The atmosphere was electric from start to finish. The competition floor welcomed every single person who stepped onto it, and the community showed up in full force — not only to support athletes, but also to volunteer, judge, help behind the scenes, and create an environment people genuinely wanted to be part of.

This is exactly why events like Rumble are so important to us as a community.

They bring together three incredibly important aspects of what we do every single day.

Firstly — working toward a goal.

We all know how easy life can become routine: wake up, go to work, train, repeat. And while consistency is important, having something exciting to work toward every now and then makes the process far more meaningful and enjoyable.

It gives your training purpose.
It creates accountability.
And when you’re working toward a shared goal with a partner or group, it makes the journey even better.

Secondly — it highlights the strength of our community.

The fact that we can come together and put on an event like this says everything about the people inside ATG. The support throughout the weekend was unbelievable. Every time an ATG athlete stepped onto the floor, the noise level immediately went up — and often that support helped people find an extra gear they didn’t even know they had.

Events like this also give us the opportunity to connect with people outside our usual circles. Most of us train with the same 15–20 people every week, but competitions broaden that scope.

You get to spend time with like-minded individuals from different classes, different gyms, and different backgrounds — all connected through the shared experience of overcoming something difficult together.

And finally — probably the most important part of all — competition forces growth.

There’s a reason people say diamonds are made under pressure.

Progress, whether in training or in life, rarely happens inside your comfort zone. The greatest growth comes when you challenge yourself to do something you normally wouldn’t do.

Competition creates that opportunity.

It forces you to confront nerves, uncertainty, pressure, and discomfort — and on the other side of that experience is confidence, resilience, and growth.

That’s what these events are really about.

So… where to from here?

The good news is that there are plenty more opportunities coming up.

Whether it’s MURPH on the 23rd of May, Hyrox Joburg on the 30th and 31st of May, Rumble Individuals on the 18th of July, or even just signing up for your local 5km run — opportunities to challenge yourself are everywhere.

And no, this is not about chasing a place on the leaderboard.

What matters is:
• Working toward a goal.
• Being part of a rock-solid community.
• Challenging yourself to grow through discomfort.

Because growth rarely happens inside your comfort zone.

And more often than not, the hardest part is simply saying yes to the challenge.
